She loves me, she loves me not - how do you ever really know?
David Stuart: tender, intelligent and pining after pop superstar Rose MacKay. More than just longing for her affection, David is so infatuated with Rose that she has a restraining order against him - which he violates.

Now defending himself in court, David professes his feelings for Rose, justifies his actions and questions the true nature of love. But when Rose is called to the stand, it is David who must answer: is it the woman he loves or the idol he worships?
In a time when society is increasingly interested in the scrutiny of minute details of celebrity lives, Still Desire You illustrates just how obsessed we've become with popular idols: objects greater than ourselves but people we want to desperately to be like, have contact with and adore.
Not a conventional musical, Still Desire You brings together the talents of Ledoux, Young and Doane to stage a compelling courtroom drama about a complex romantic relationship. Added to this mix are captivating concerts, delivered by Rose McKay, that showcase musical styles ranging from pop to folk to Celtic.
Melanie Doane is a well-known Canadian musician with a strong following not just in the East Coast but across the nation. Having released five Top 40 charting CD's Melanie Doane was awarded a Juno Award in 1999 for Best New Solo Artist.
David Young and Paul Ledoux are no strangers to fame themselves, as they were nominated for the prestigious Governor General's Award for Glenn and have won numerous awards for Fire.
