Alberta Theatre Projects is calling for submissions to audition for CHARLOTTE’S WEB.

PRODUCTION DATES: November 26, 2024 – December 29, 2024
REHEARSAL PERIOD: November 1, 2024 – November 29, 2024
AUDITION DETAILS: Audition submissions via self-tape

CASTING PERSONNEL REVIEWING SUBMISSIONS AND SELF-TAPE AUDITIONS:

SUBMIT TO AUDITION BY MONDAY, MAY 6, 2024 (BY 6:00PM MST)

**Successful applicants will be contacted by MAY 10, and asked to submit a self-tape by MAY 17, 2024.

ROLES:

  • Fern Arable: a compassionate and curious young girl. Forms a deep bond with the animals on her family’s farm, especially a certain pig. She has an unwavering loyalty to and love for all creatures. (age 10-13)
  • Avery Arable: Fern’s brother. Avery has a lot of energy and is known to get into trouble. (age 8-10)
  • John Arable: Fern’s Father. A pragmatic farmer who prioritizes hard work and caring for his farm animals and family.
  • Martha Arable: Fern’s mother. Supportive and understanding, assisting Fern in caring for animals and expressing concern when Fern shares her close bond with them.
  • Edith Zuckerman: Fern’s aunt. Possesses a keen eye for the extraordinary, particularly when it comes to recognizing the uniqueness of Charlotte, a spider with exceptional qualities.
  • Homer Zuckerman: Fern’s Uncle. Affectionately known as Uncle Homer. A diligent farmer who takes pride in caring for his livestock.
